Article Processing Charges (APC)

As an open access journal, JASTT applies an Article Processing Charge (APC) for each accepted article to cover the essential costs of high-quality publication. These fees support the infrastructure required to publish, distribute, and preserve scholarly content at a professional standard.

The current APC for local authors is IQD 400,000 per article. For international authors, JASTT currently offers free publication without APCs.

Why are APCs charged?

JASTT is committed to maintaining editorial and production excellence. APCs contribute to:

  • Editorial Screening: Initial checks for formatting, plagiarism (Turnitin), and ethical compliance.
  • Peer Review Management: Handling double-blind peer review through editorial and reviewer coordination.
  • Production & Copyediting: Converting manuscripts into professionally typeset articles with formatting, layout, and DOI assignment.
  • Proofreading Support: Communicating with authors during the final proofing and formatting process.
  • Language Minor Editing: Refining grammar, academic tone, and overall clarity of the article.
  • Platform Maintenance: Technical support and website operations for manuscript submission, review, and publication.
  • Long-term Preservation: Indexing, metadata archiving, and DOI registration (via CrossRef) for perpetual access and citation.

Waiver Policy
