Ethics and Disclosures

The Journal of Applied Science and Technological Trends (JASTT) is committed to maintaining the highest ethical standards in scholarly publishing. We follow internationally recognized guidelines and principles to ensure transparency, integrity, and accountability in all stages of the publication process.

Publishing Ethics

JASTT adheres to the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and expects all parties involved in the editorial process — authors, reviewers, editors, and publishers — to act ethically and responsibly.

JASTT does not tolerate:

  • Plagiarism
  • Data fabrication or falsification
  • Redundant or duplicate publication
  • Undisclosed conflicts of interest
  • Unethical research practices

Any proven misconduct will result in rejection, retraction, or correction, as appropriate, and may be reported to relevant authorities.

Editorial Responsibilities

  • Editorial decisions are based solely on the scientific quality and relevance of the manuscript.
  • The editorial team maintains strict confidentiality during the submission and review process.
  • Editors are required to disclose any conflicts of interest and recuse themselves where applicable.

Reviewer Ethics

  • Reviewers are expected to conduct fair, objective, and timely evaluations.
  • All information received during peer review must be treated as confidential.
  • Reviewers must declare any conflicts of interest that could affect their assessment.

Transparency and Conflict of Interest

All authors must clearly disclose:

  • Financial, institutional, or personal relationships that may influence their work.
  • Sources of funding and financial support.
  • Any affiliations or positions that may be perceived as conflicts.

These disclosures will be published with the article where applicable.

Corrections and Retractions

If a published article is found to contain significant errors or misconduct:

  • A correction, erratum, or corrigendum may be issued.
  • In cases of serious ethical violations, the article may be retracted in accordance with COPE guidelines.
